On February 17, 1996, the membership of Grace Baptist Church voted to call Steve Montgomery as their pastor. Pastor Montgomery moved his wife and three children from the Atlanta area to serve the Lord in Eufaula, Alabama. He has since given his life caring for the people of Grace Baptist as well as the surrounding community.
Under his leadership, the Lord has used Grace Baptist Church to see hundreds of souls saved through various ministries including the Bus ministry, Prison Ministry, and personal Soul Winning. In order to provide security to the members, and ensure the direction of the church, Pastor Montgomery lead the people to call his son, Mark, to serve as Co-Pastor and to be the pastor if and when he should decide to retire.
On Father’s Day, June 18, 2017, the members of Grace Baptist Church unanimously voted to call Mark Montgomery to be their pastor alongside his father. Pastor Mark Montgomery moved his wife, Erin and three children, Grace, Damon, and Neal from Jacksonville, Florida, to serve the Lord in Eufaula.
On July 28, 2019, “Transition Sunday” Pastor Steve Montgomery stepped aside and became Pastor Emeritus, allowing the Church to continue moving forward under the leadership of Pastor Mark Montgomery.
